Fluttershy had been busy helping around her animal pals that had taken residency in her safe haven. Most animals were doing fairly well, except a few families here and there. She had a jittery family of sugar babies that she had no idea were there to begin with.
 
She sighed.
 
She had been making progress when a territorial family of squirrels and chipmunks had overtaken their nest.
 
Fluttershy was quickly shaken out of her frustrating thoughts when she heard Pablito calling out to her.
 
She raised her hoof as the small indigo bird landed and began to preen a few feathers after his long flight. She waited patiently for him to finish as she untied the small note on his foot.
 
-Fluttershy,
 
I need your help. Just you. No pony else. I’ll explain everything when I see you. I’ll be in your cottage.
 
-TH
 
Fluttershy scrunched her eyebrows in worry before Pablito said that it was urgent. She asked the feathery friend to watch the sugar babies before taking off and heading towards her home.

Fluttershy couldn’t function.
 
“Flutters?”
 
“Tho- Thunderlane. I don’t understand. You-wha-HOW?”
 
Thunderlane sighed in frustration. He knew Fluttershy had every right to feel as confused as she did, but he knew she also knew that even he had needs.
 
A pointed look in her direction shut her up instantly.
 
“It happened a year ago. It was a stupid mistake.”
 
Fluttershy cowered a little before blush-ily looking away.
 
“Was she your~~”
 
“First? No.”
 
Fluttershy looked at him then. He had said it so coldly, she couldnt help but wonder if he was secretly blaming Rainbow Dash for his predicament.
 
She quickly glared at him.
 
Thunderlane sighed.
 
“Of all possible reactions, that is the least one I had been expecting.”
 
“I’m sorry, but~~ You have to understand tha-”
 
“I do. But I also wish you believed in me just a little bit more.”
 
As she watched him become smaller, she couldn’t help but spread a wing against his defeated form.
 
“Why don’t you start at the beginning?”
 
Thunderlane lifted his head slightly to look her in the eye and Fluttershy’s heart almost shattered for him.

The sun was slowly setting before Fluttershy offered him to stay the night.
 
“I dont think I can and you know that, Shy.”
 
“Rainbow Dash won’t be showing up here until…”
 
“Until she talks to me?”
 
Fluttershy turned to face him in shock, careful of any fast movements that would wake the tiny filly.
 
Thunderlane chuckled softly.
 
“She did right before this bundle of joy showed up on my door.”
 
The sarcasm in his voice irked her a little, but she quickly forgave him. It was clear he was asking for help the moment she reached out to her, and she knew that the filly would grow big and strong with him.
 
“And?”
 
He sighed.
 
“I think, it’s time to move on.”
 
She smiled as she watched the tiny filly sleep, softly suckling on her fur, no doubt looking for some milk.
 
“If it’s okay with you Thunderlane, would you mind telling me what happened?”
 
Thunderlane only crouched in protest.
 
When he turned to look at her, he inwardly sighed when she wasn’t facing him. It was exactly like when he was in high school.

This is mainly a filler used only to separate two different on going stories. One is about how Thunderlane even met Lightning Dust and the other is about what the hell happened so long ago between him and Rainbow Dash.
 
Which one do you want first?
 
This story is pretty short compared to others, and very awkwardly timed. The next chapter will probaly include how he met Lightning Dust because as we all know… I LIKE TO MAKE YOU ALL SUFFER!
