Compline is a strong argument for Catholicism. Great way to spend an evening.
Don’t forget the Saudi Wahhabist Judges!
@mjangelvortex
Funny how these comic Strips supposedly meant to Spread Christianity and reinforce (the authors ) ideals ended up hurting the faith more and becoming an embarrassment for Christianity. Now the tracts are spread more today mockingly and in jest than any serious attempt to proselytize and are seen mostly as deriding the faith associated with it.
Indeed, the rest of my immediate family doesnt go anymore, they dont know about me not identifying with Christianity I dont feel like bring it up to them.
These are funny but it makes me sad that there are still some people out there that legitimately think this way.
@Darkest Lunar Flower
Same here. I’m Catholic but I don’t go to church and I honestly disapprove of some of the things the higher-ups have done (like the homophobia and the pedophilia scandals). I don’t care or mind if someone has a different religion than me and I not going to bother converting them. Their religious decisions are their own private choice, not mine.
Oh my goodness, these are someone of the reasons I don’t follow a specific religion anymore. XD I don’t like going by books, I believe In a god, but I don’t believe in a pastor who says “gays” go to hell. Like a powerful beings has better things to deal with than two dudes making out.
Ugh and the forcing others too, like if someone is ashiest or like me, they go into alarm mode and shove their ideals in your face.
These comics are funny though. XD I heard some collect them.
I contend that “The Last Generation” Chick Tract is the best. A culmination of all of the absurdity and insanity distilled into one convenient comic book.

Yep. They’re equal parts hilarious and disturbing!
Personally I’m a “fan” of the ones with Fred Carter as the artist (the “good artist” comics)
He’s the one behind such gems as this:

Just look at that gloriously ham-fisted agitprop!
This panel specifically is a direct reference to the way he used to render The Big G:

Wait is this making fun of those stupid religious comics they hand out to my sister at school that are stupid and make no sense.
Still pissed about never getting one of those tracts lobbed at me. What’s a longhair in the US Southeast supposed to do?
