I should mention that, of the two hypothetical monsters, neither one is Vinyl, and one is the dumbass tied to the chair.
For a certain somepony in that room, perhaps there will be two monsters after the pain comes in.
But for the rest, it’s still just one monster in that room. A monster willing to do even more messed-up ‘dishonorable’ shit than the treatment it’s getting right now.
Whatever way one looks at it, the monster counter of that room remains at one.
With her hooves on methods, no nutt is too tough to crack.

Then let me put it like this.
If she goes through with it, she will prove that there is a second monster in the room, and that will beg the question of which one is worse.
Speaking as if showing honor to a monster does to anyone at all.
‘Honor’ really can only be applied to those that are not a monster - a set of guidelines for those actually undeserving of the monster treatment.
There’s only one monster in that room from anypony’s perspectives, the slight variation being whether or not the monster’s chained up or not.

possibly. Likely. but that mostly implies she actually does pop them. She doesn’t, it’s less likely she’ll be punished in any way like that. Emphasis on less.
So basically creating a faux pas, that implies the Dawn Knights are honorless thugs, and Celestia is either a tyrant or inefficient due to this happening on her watch, is worth it because her child is in danger?
Because right now, acting like this? We’ve seen her try to be better, but this will call all of it into question, and if she isn’t stopped, I sincerely doubt she’ll be allowed to remain a Dawn Knight.
She’ll be lucky if she just gets early retirement let alone a discharge, honorable or not.

She probably will anyways. They had the nerve to kidnap her daughter. So he should be afraid but, as for the chances of him walking out with them intact. I’d personally give him one chance in three.
Two words: Dawn. Knight.
