Except G5 was denied by DHX, and most of the timeline found in the original leaks is already busted.
The 2019 movie wasn’t ever brought up outside the leak, Rainbow Roadtrip began production in Spring 2017, so it is not a scrapped sequel, and the leak clearly identified the 2019 movie as a sequel to the 2017 movie.
The big screen movie was leaked to be 2020, not 2021, and the artwork and information about G5 was debunked by DHX, who said that the information was false, as they had not been involved with MLP past Season 9, so any information taken from a DHX server about G5 was fraudulent.

I’m not surprised. The 2017 movie wrapped up all of it’s plot lines. There isnt room for a sequel. Plus, for kids movies, it is usually a better idea to not make direct sequels.
It will probably be like Rainbow Roadtrip, so a standalone story set in G4.
