DeathCloud

Agent of Shadows
After playing AC1 I can’t look at this scene without thinking about Assasin’s Creed.

It even have viewing point in background.

before AK only thing he did was accidetnly let loose TWAHLIGHT SPARKUL MAGIKAL BALOOON, and frantically try to recover it, in a frantic fashion.

I don’t buy that. I would have believed that if Spike was efficient at first, but he got worse when he starts going overboard at try helping AJ.

But no, right from the start: he is a clumsy oaf.

I assume that he was so clumsy in this episode, because his perseverance to help Applejack, overtook his common sense, and cautiousness. He was into the idea of helping her, he acted too quick, and not carefully

Isn’t Spike supposed to be one of the few rational characters on the show? He and Applejack are the most consistently levelheaded characters. You’d think out of all the characters this could happen to, with these two it would get worked out quickly.
Background Pony #9501
Spike was simply awful. He knows how to cook, organize, he is stronger that it seems and yet he was the biggest idiot.

I don’t consider that as “Spike’s ultimate hero moment”, because Twilight did most of the work and Spike was a goofball the whole time and if it weren’t for Shining Armor and Cadance he would have fallen to his death. But I still appreciate that moment because it was a step up for Spike’s character in a two-parter episode.

I’m still waiting for an epic ultimate Spike moment.

Ok, dreaper, you’re right, I’m getting worked up, I apologies. I’m just upset that they basically took away his major talent, which is being a great assistant (to the pont that “Look Before You Sleep” implies Twilight can’t take care of herself) in favor of comic incompetence. It’d be like if Applejack suddenly couldn’t buck apples or Rainbow Dash couldn’t fly. It’s simply… vexing.

But the Timberwolf kill at the end was pretty cool, but they built up to it in the worst way.

Came on man, you’re going overboard with this, FiM is no strange to slapstick, it has happened several times before with other characters besides Spike, so I don’t see anything wrong with this.

But I see where you’re coming from, basically Spike fans are frustrated that the character has been so poorly developed so far. I don’t like how they downgraded him in this episode, he went from “efficient assistant” to “stupid clumsy oaf”.

This is another unremarkable Spike episode that doesn’t do him justice, and the next episode is probably going to suck as well.

Ok, enlighten me. Why do people find this funny? A small child falling from a great height, is this what people find funny now? It worked for Looney Tunes because the people who got hur in Looney Tunes were always unsympathetic jerkasses. In fact, the whole reason for Yosemite Sam’s existence was because Elmurr Fudd was starting to seem like a sympathetic dope.

Look, either create sympathetic, complex, three dimensional characters the auidence can care about and treat them that way, or dump the physical humor or two dimensional caricature that nobody finds likable!
