also it could be that the tree of harmony had largely abandoned that form by now. considering what is beneath the school and thre castle tree.
If the Season 9 finale involves Esquestria being destroyed in some cosmic Ponygeddon so the Gen 5 pony world can be born from its ashes, it will all have been worth it.

Yeah, you see, that’s why this show’s kept fresh. Whenever something gets destroyed, chances are it’ll be akin to the legendary phoenix and rise up anew.

the Tree of Harmony is basically magic crystals. As for Golden Oaks? I’m sorry to say this, but… Just kidding; I’m not sorry. I WILL speak my mind. That library tree house was an ordinary tree house. Gosh. Darn. Fight me. X3

also at this point we have 4 seasons with and 4 seasons without the Golden Oak Library so the impact is watered down
