I have to admit I was somewhat put-off by how obviously 3d the timberwolves were. Didn’t even render their outlines in the same style as the rest of the show - they didn’t fit in very well at all. I get that some people seemed to like them, but personally I found them quite jarring.

What a weird thing to use 3D for. As if they couldn’t just Flash animate it as well and as easily. Timberwolves I can understand, but Dizzytron? It was probably more like a proof of concept at the time, before they got to use 3D in a scene that actually called for it.

I noticed that as well. But I think this was just some well done flash animating.
The animators are very good in making things appear 3d even when they aren’t.
