From my understanding, FiM noses work because their main concern is looking cute, so they can get away with not looking like a hoers. See how mares have huge eyes and small nose. The male nose here gave itself a bigger nose which is far more difficult to make cute. Stallions will need a nose that starts to show some actual understanding of horse anatomy if they’re not gonna cheese through anatomy by having a small kose. The nose here does not to a terribly good job of that yet.

the overly blocky head is a no, but the way some artists draw the male head (like the head on the right here) is A-okay

nah, I like the male noses. It’s nice to have at least SOME anatomy differences between males and females. :T

The huge blocky head thing just drives me crazy. Urgh. I like when stallion noses are drawn as more subtle. I don’t think the show intended them to look so blocky anyway.
