I believe Sauron was EXACTLY what sombra was referencing… a dark spirit overlord bent on conquering all life, and brought back by a fragment of life force stored inside an object be it a horn shard or a ring… hell Sombra and Sauron have the same number of letters and both start with an S even… but back to the storm king… I know it’s a kids show but realistically… HE DEAD

On the Storm King. This is a children’s show, so they could just glue him back together.
 
On Sombra, the way you describe him really makes him seem like King Sauron from Lord of The Rings, only replace the ring with a horn.

but if they un-petrify him wouldn’t his fragments just become separate chunks of flesh killing him anyways? but while sombra was technically “dead” he was more accurately dormant within that shard of horn just waiting for something to awaken it with enough malice and hatred… storm king is a being of flesh and blood and not a non-corporeal spirit entity as sombra is… I mean sombra with the leftover chunk of horn is like Sauron with the one ring… part of his life force lived on inside the ring allowing his spirit to return

Sombra was technically dead too. Also, it’s implied Storm King survived, albeit he is literally in pieces

storm king is not a non-corporeal entity like sombra who needs only a horn shard to fully regenerate… storm king is a yeti and not only was he petrified but his statue was broken into pieces… yeah he’s dead

Ironically, since Grogar is confirmed as attempting to unite the villains, Cozy might actually appear in both parts.
