I still find it amusing that of all the background ponies they could include in that shot, they specifically chose Lyra as one of them. Flash Sentry and Derpy/Muffins makes sense, and I suppose Bulk Biceps also counts as a fan favorite, but Lyra of all the ponies certainly calls out to the fandom’s most popular interpretations of her character. This is especially doubled down on, since this is the human version of the character in Equestria; quite the ironic reversal of Anthropology and all of its influenced works.
