He hated leaving her but if she stayed missing much longer, she’d receive the worse kind of fatal punishment. He lowered his head towards her face, flicking his tongue against her snout. She pushed her face into his warm fur before peeling her eyes open. He could see the pain in her eyes from her wounds. He managed to use natural healing flowers and his own ability to heal most of her wounds, but her scar was too deep for him to heal it completely.
“We’re here…”
She blinked lazily at him before realizing her surroundings. Fear struck her as she tried to hide in his fur.
“Sally… I’m scared…”
He looked back at the guard and saw them staring intently at the forest.
“Don’t take me back… Please…”
The whimpers broke his heart but he can’t just keep her with him. She’s still too young for him to take care of her. He let out a heavy sigh, letting his fur glow a little brightly in hopes it would calm her down.
“I’m sorry, little one… But it’s too dangerous to stay with me…”
He tried to reason with her, using his tail to lift her up but she refused to let go of his fur.
“No.”
He frowned at her stubbornness, her eyes were getting teary but determined.
“I don’t wanna go…”
He held his breath so he wouldn’t raise his voice at her, knowing it’s the last thing she needs. He tightened his grip a bit around her waist and tugged her off. He expected her to fight and struggle but she just gave up, surrendering to him. Her eyes were spewing tears non-stop as she held in her sobs, glaring hard at the ground.
“I know you’re scared, little one… But we both know that your father would worry about you… Even your mother…”
He set her on the ground, gently as to not hurt her fading bruises. She looked up at him, hoping he would change his mind but ended up limping towards him and pressing her face against him.
“You’ll come back for me… Right, Sally?”
He smiled gently down at her, using the tip of his tail to lift her chin up to face him, “I’m always here for you, little one.”
She sniffled as he laid down onto the ground to blend in once again. He gave her an encouraging gentle shove to move forward. She gulped heavily, lowering her ears down as well as her head. She cautiously walked out of the bush, attracting the guard’s attention. Their eyes widened at this and let out a yell to alert the nearby guards. They ran towards Beatz, bending down to pick her up by the back of her neck.
“The Blessing has been found!”
The cheer spread around fast as the guard ran into the walkway of the entrance. Beatz looked at the guard, worry in her eyes as she saw the panicked look and mostly fear. She immediately felt pairs of eyes set on her as the guard ran to the main hut.
“Pansy?”
She noticed her dad, Robin, standing nearby with a worried sick look on his face. Relief replaced it before his eyes widened when he saw that she was going to the Alpha, his relief getting devoured by utmost fear.
“Wait! Pansy!”
The nearby guards held him back as he struggled and called out for her. Her eyes teared up as she called out to him, “Papa!” She struggled against the guard. The last thing she saw before she got into the hut was Robin slamming his powerful wings against two guards before he was knocked out. She fell into the ground when the guard dropped her and bowed down. She looked away from the guard, fear made her stomach drop as seven piercing eyes glared down at her.
The Alpha was here. And he was vivid.
It’s been so long since I’ve done one of these. Excuse my old lining style. I didn’t have the energy to reline everything again with my current style. I decided I could at least post something since I’ll be sketching the other parts. Ahhh, I don’t like how this one turned out, like how did past me think thick line art was good???
