This should of been the CMC’s story arc. But no, we got the Student 6 as stand-ins, heck there first Villain was Cozy, who was the CMC’s friend.
 
I have a crazy Idea:
 
Smolder is aesthetically Scootaloo only, and Ocellus gives off a Sweetie Belle vibe, Gallus is a reformed DT, and Applebloom’s the hardest to fit.
 
The Student 6 eat up episode slots, as new characters in the last 2 seasons, and the CMC’s episodes last season had connections to the Student 6.
 
My point is, there is a connection, the CMC were thrown in a closet last season.
