Even if any of Tara’s other voices are similar to Twilight, they’re not the same and would taint the data. This possibility you bring up has been discussed in the threads before, and addressed.

Reading the overview in the Google Doc, this project seems to have a bit of tunnel vision. They’re only looking at the MLP voices as source material, but the voice actresses (Tara Strong especially) have done a lot of voice work outside MLP, including a number of characters that do not sound at all dissimilar to the MLP ones. If people seriously want to do this, they should expand their scope for source samples a bit.
