Larimar takes a plank from the back wall and lay it across the acrid smelling pool. Unfortunately it’s about a foot short.
Getting an idea he goes back to the bridge in the previous room and takes some rope. The bridge closest him is still connected to a large part of the bridge, so cutting the ropes there is just likely to pull the whole thing down. He has to cross back across the ropes and claim some from the other side.
Once he returns he ties two pieces of the planks together and puts them over the gap in the bridge. He tests the makeshift bridge a few times with a hoof, and then walks across and claims the key. On the way back he can feel the bridge start to give way, and scrambles across, taking a leap the last foot or so as the whole thing collapses into the murky liquid.
The bridge sizzles and lets off horrible smelling gas as it sinks into the muck, melting away almost immediately.
Larimar gives a sigh of relief and wipes his brow. He then makes his way over to the locked door and opens it. Once he opens the door he sees another one of the zombies, who turns to look at him because of the noise.
Now this is something that Larimar is a bit more used to, he thinks to himself as he levels his sword. He is a bit more wary of this zombie-like zebra though. Unlike the previous ones, it is wearing a tattered looking robe and a smudged tiara. It also has some sort of spear with an odd tip. Unlike the rest of his items, this spear looks in almost pristine condition.
