I loved the interactions between Spike and Fluttershy in this episode! They have such amazing chemistry, and I like how Fluttershy wishes Zephyr was more like Spike. Now I can’t wait for the episode “Sweet & Smokey”, where Spike and Fluttershy will team up again with Smolder as they go to the Dragonlands(Yep, Fluttershy finally visits the Dragonlands!) to cheer up Smolder’s sensitive brother, and after this episode, I think Smolder was wise to choose Spike and Fluttershy to accompany her!

And this episode now confirms without a shadow of a doubt that Spike is part of The Sparkle Family and is seen as a little brother by Twi and Shining, and her parents helped raise him aswell, when Twilight came of age, she took the job to raise him(Like Applejack is with Applebloom, Rarity is with Sweetiebelle and the same way Scoots looks up to Rainbow Dash as the big sister she never had, is because her own family neglects her.)
Exactly! And I’m also happy this shows the audiance and fans, that Yes, Twilight’s parents did in fact raise Spike, while Twilight was growing up. Gave him a pony diaper(Such a cute baby dragon) and treated him as the baby of the family. And I can tell you, that as a younger brother myself, you tend to feel forgotten by your bigger siblings(And Luna I could tell was able to relate with Spike on that)
Really, this is what I call a Spike and Luna episode!
Yeah, I agree, the whole “Stop the Spikeabuse!/Spike Justice Warrior” thing got out of hand a few years back. (To the point, some fans started drawing creepy pics of Spike getting revenge on the “Mane 6,” or the show staff.) Hopefully, this’ll tone that down a bit, and remind fans that Twilight, and the others do care about, and love Spike like family.
Agreed, I never really saw it as “Spikeabuse” since all the characters get it..Twilight got hit with a pinon for crying out loud! And even Applejack has sometimes negelcted her sister, but when push comes to shove, they love their siblings blood related or not. :)
This whole Spikeabuse thing is just an overreaction, and this episode confirms that. Now I hope people will look back at the series when it ends and enjoy the whole series without any doubt that the characters do care for eachother.

To be fair, Spike isn’t the only one subjected to slapstick. Twilight got it really bad in “Feeling Pinkie-Keen,” while Spike got none at all that ep’.
In fact, he even flattened her with the door twice.
In the words of Star Butterfly “YES!” As well as confirming that Spike was raised by Twilight’s parents when she was a filly and latter she raised him when she came of age, and they treated Spike as a little brother.
With this episode, I don’t mind the slapstick stuff anymore, Big siblings tend to neglect their younger siblings(even ones who are blood related!)
Yep! Of course, I think I know who it is, the orange dragon from Shadow Play Part 1, I finally get it, Smolder’s brother is in my mind, what Spike would have become if he had stayed with Garble’s gang, a lackey.
