Back when the show was good. Which isn’t technically this image, given it’s from after Season 1, but it’s close enough that you can overlook it.

Makes me nostalgic to when this didn’t need a tag

Even though Season 5 is probably my favorite by far, I do have a feeling of nostalgia for Seasons 1 and 2. Actually been watching back some episodes from those first two seasons the past three days and they’ve got a charm about them in their simplicity. I’ve been watching since December of 2010, and its kind of crazy to think about how much has changed since then. Back then we didn’t have Alicorn Twilight, the “Changedlings”, reformed Discord, Starlight, EQG, the Crystal Empire, none of that.
 
Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy a lot of the newer things in the show (e.g. Starlight, Thorax, EQG), but it is good to go back to when times were simpler every now and then. Unicorn Twilight being one of the big things I miss the most, since I do feel like she’s changed quite a bit as a character since then. That and I miss the humble design of the old library as well.
