The joke seems to me to be that “the virgin” character = everyone. All the qualities he has most of us can relate to in some way. The Chad is an impossible standard of assholishness people supposedly want to be.

thanks for the explanations guys, its comments like these that just clarify a lot for me, coming from someone who only knows memes from the late 2000s, lol. i can never keep up with what kiddos find funny
@Background Pony #DD6C
yeah, thats what i initially what i believed the meme was about. part of me is wondering if the virgin vs chad meme is demonizing those who are more introverted or unusual in society, but part of me also thinks if im taking the “us vs them” punchline too literally
It started out as ‘haha’-funny though. The original idea was that the chad would be the exact opposite of the virgin to a humorous degree, but at some point it morphed into “virgin = bad, chad = good”
Edited
False dichotomy highlighting the extremes of male social behaviour respectively for fragile and toxic masculinity. The meme denies any shade of maleness.
tl;dr - everyone wants to be the guy but it’s ludicrous
Edited
It’s less ‘haha’-funny, more like ‘Oh yes, i totally agree with this’ type of funny
i am seriously curious, i never understood either of them
Or is it an edit?
