Hmmm…

I guess I see how she might be considered a Mary Sue if you compare some of her traits to other Mary Sues, but I don’t really think she is a Mary Sue.

She had a legitimate character arc, she wasn’t especially loved or reviled without good reasons, and her powers weren’t exceptional for her breed.

I guess I just didn’t find her mere existence offensive.
