They still look similar to each other without knowing what their eye colour is supposed to be.
The pattern of the optic is different, though. Wheatley’s lens has the simple gradient and a hexagonal lens pattern, Space Core has the plain radial lines pattern. No two cores in Portal 2 have ever had the same optic pattern.
That is pretty easy to know since the colour of the eye is easily seen in this picture. Oh wait, you can’t tell what colour it is here.
Wheatley’s not the yellow-eyed one that’s obsessed with space. He’s the blue-eyed English one.
