Wasteland Equestrians Concept Art: Death Maw
While the Hellhounds are supposed to be the deathclaws for FoE, having actual lizard-like creatures makes more sense. i just had to add details and horns to teen dragons from the show and voilà.
Also consider that some can mutate and breath fire and some can mutate and fly.

Geckoes, I mostly play Fallout 3 so pardon my ignorance.

Actually the shapes are from some of the teen dragons you see in the show, i just made them longer to make them more similar to those of a deathclaw. For example for the second one i took inspiration by the white teen dragon

In the Kkat novel she used the Hellhounds which doesn’t make much sense, but you also have to consider that FoE was written before we could have seen the teen dragons like Garble and Ember.
In the game i try to add the missing stuff from later seasons or simply missing stuff in general
