I like to also think Rarity just has hair magic. She can make anyone’s hair long and luscious.
About the hair, I would assume Rarity has a custom wig for Cold Front.
The former would change his physical sex, and the latter are just additions that make him look more like a female but don’t change his physical sex.
I’m fine either way myself. Maybe Rarity used pads and extensions, or maybe Rarity has some magic that lets boys who wish to be beautiful girls change into them. Again, either way, the outcome is really sweet. <3
I’d go with extensions and padding myself. She’s beautiful either way.
