Cooking is so fun!
Cooking is so fun!
Now it’s time to take a break and see what we have done!

The girls need to respect Spike more, especially Twilight. She is treating him like a slave in most episodes and studio B seems to have taken it as Spike’s role is to do comic relief… Doesn’t really help when all of the Spike related episodes have been kinda… Bad…

He almost died moments ago, and probably (The way he sees it) he doesn’t want to become a giant monster again by receiving something so big (His life being saved) for free.

Give him a break.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

^^ Which doesn’t change the fact that Spike has been shown to possess at least basic cooking/baking skills since season one. Spike’s role as assistant includes more than just cleaning up.

You’ve said a few times that that Spike is prone to falling off ladders and such, yet I can’t remember a single time when that was actually his fault and not because Twilight pulled him off the ladder magically. A lot of physical comedy happens to Spike in this show, it just happens because of the actions of others instead of him.

Really, the biggest problem in this episode is that they apparently decided Spike was a CMC. I can buy not being able to make a good pie, though its something of a stretch since he was in a kitchen with two mares who know how to make pies, and I can even ignore the fact that even basic baking would teach you to hold the bowl while you stir, but the destruction of three rooms moments after entering them goes to far.

In the owl episode Twlight explicitly said that Spike was the one who baked super special cookies,

And yes, Spike has messed up in his work from time to time, but nowhere near the ridiculous levels of this episode.

The only explanation of this: bad writing (not blaming any particular writer though)

Spike has enough of being portrayed as the loser, he needs more awesome and badass moments.

Maybe he isn’t used to Aj’s place, so he had trouble coordinating himself. That or he isn’t in charge of the cooking at the library.

The thing is, when Spike tries to hard, he tends to screw things up. Also I don’t think he was OOC in this episode. Half the time in previous episodes he was falling off ladders, getting burried in books, and such when he was helping Twilight.

@HJSDGCE Yes he does. Though he could be good at baking certain things like breakfast, cookies, etc. And be bad at cooking other things, like pies.

Who says he has to be good at cooking everything?

The brony in me wants to laugh, but the cook in me is screaming, “HOLD THE DAMN BOWL!!!”

I don’t know which one I should listen to.
