I don’t blame you for that! I’m sure it will. The fandom usually doesn’t ignore canon couples unless if they really dislike one of the characters in it. And even I thought the Yonabar moments were really cute in the episode.

I do hope Yonabar gets a lot of love too. I know it wasn’t a popular ship before this episode, but I’ve liked it for awhile, and it’s the only Student Six ship I’ve done any artwork of so far.

I’m pretty sure it’ll keeping going for sure. Nothing’s gonna stop people from shipping Gallus and Sandbar. Plus, I don’t think this ship is catching on like others for an example MacSugar, ShiningCadance, SoarDash (the worst), DerpyDoctor etc.

I do hope it keeps going. I mean, Shining Armor and Cadence’s relationship has been canon from the go, but that hasn’t stopped them from being shipped with half of equestria in every configuration of relationship possible and impossible.

The thing is that Gallbar was a popular GAY ship in the fandom. This fandom doesn’t have many of those. It has a lot of popular straight and lesbian ships, but the gay ships are usually on the low and disregarded. Which is why from the minute I heard of this episode coming out, I couldn’t help but wonder if Gallbar would keep going like almost every ship has, or if it’s going to crash and burn because it’s with two boys and that was already rare in this fandom to begin with. I’m just hoping the former is what happens.

Condolences, though, man - I remember how freaked out the ending to the first EqG made me - and that I was feeling a lot better by the end of a Rainbow Rocks.

Nah. Think of all the canon paired characters that get tons of alternate ships, like Shining Armor, Caramel, Big Mac, and Maud. Damn. I think only the Cakes and the Doodles remain monogamous in the fandom.
