I’m not sure if it was the artist’s intent, but I think the strawberry makes sense. Samara only became a Justicar to hunt down Morinith. Of course her special talent isn’t related to being a je I mean Justicar, she never wanted to be one!

According to the artist, the strawberry was chosen because “That’s how she looks like in her default outfit.”  
Personally, I’d have the “ponified” asari resemble more like deer or some other house-like creature, and the cutie mark would be more abstract and liking to the asari (or what their partner species is).  
For Samara, her cutie mark would be a symbol of justice.
