Most people just distract themselves instead of pausing, and really thinking. Because it can be terrifying, and make you feel hopeless when you consider some things. And in some ways you are. But in other ways, you’re not.
 
If everyone in the world would just stop and think more often, instead of running and hiding from the things that trouble them, the amount of suffering in the world would be cut in half, and the amount of prosperity and fulfillment could double.

Just let you know, I also have been struggling with overthinking everything especially with my bad past for quite awhile. This kind of feeling is normal. I am just letting you know that you’re not the only one that struggling with kind of stuff and I really understand how much annoying and frustrated when that happened. So yeah I hope that you will be get better soon.

Overthinking everything is a sign of a genuinely caring individual. They have a habbit of worrying themselves to tatters over anything and everything, scrutinizing their every action and decision throughout their lives.
 
Seldom is it a matter of being a perfectionist, more so a self-destrucive effort to avoid further conflict/error in life.
