The Doc looks a little bit like Feather Bang here and it’s bothering me.

My fanfic english class made a brief detour from Star Trek to study Dr. Who, so I fell back into the Whovian pit again. Get ready for some timey wimey stuff.

The Alicorn of Time (no one really knows what his name is):

His story has three parts that can be told in any order since his existence is a bootstrap paradox:

• In the dawn of Equestria, a lonely god descended from the heavens in search for companionship on the world below. Not wanting to challenge the reign of the two young alicorn sisters, the elder hid his powers away in a vessel and took the form of a simple earth pony to wander the lands. As thousands of years passed, his mortal mind forgot his identity as the alicorn of time and the vessel that held his powers was lost.
  ** despite no longer capable of doing magic, “Time Turner” worked with Starswirl on his time travel spells
  ** Celestia saw him several times over the centuries, but she just assumed he was a descendent of the original Time Turner.
• In present day Equestria, Derpy finds an old fob watch and opens it. Then Ponyville’s local timekeeper suddenly sprouted wings and grew a horn. They had cool adventures together until Derpy missed the old Time Turner. Sad things ensued. Long story short, Time Turner stuck his immortal bits back into the clock and they lived happily ever after.
  ** Time Turner was able to keep his alicorn memories, but he’ll slowly forget them again. Only alicorns can retain such a vast collection of memories.
• In the future of Equestrian space expansion, Princess Twilight takes an earth pony scientist as her apprentice for his research that enabled non-magical creatures to time travel. She did a double take when they first met as she could’ve sworn he looked just like Ponyville’s old timekeeper, but her alicorn memory was a bit fuzzy (it’s been thousands of years), so she dismissed it as a one of the many strange coincidences she’d seen over the years. One day, they go looking for an ancient artifact rumored to be the original source of temporal magic. It turns out to be an antique timepiece from old Equestria. Our ordinary earth pony scientist opens it and bam! alicorn of time!
  ** At the time Twilight took Time Turner on as her apprentice, she was the eldest and thus reigning alicorn. After the fob watch incident, she realized that the old Ponyville timekeeper Time Turner and the modern Dr. Time Turner are one and the same. She’s the only one who’s figured out his paradoxical existence.
  ** After Time Turner ascended, Twilight gave him the planet Gallopfrey and its surrounding star systems to watch over. He spent a few centuries there before abruptly leaving, claiming that he was needed elsewhere. Twilight never saw him again (except in the past).
• After spending an eternity making sure that all of time and space wasn’t going to spontaneously combust, the alicorn of time returned to the very beginning to Equestria to enjoy things the long way round. A fitting reward for all that hard work.

And then the story repeats, over and over again. The Doctor/Time Turner/the alicorn of time/the many other names he’s been called over all of eternity has no start nor end. He’s the only immortal in Equestria that truly can be called “ageless”. He simply exists, and always will.
