@nightshroud96
The two never even exchange words as far as I know.
As much as I hate to admit it, Dragon Dropped was actually a very good Spike episode in terms of adhering to Spike’s personality and not ruining things for him.
@nightshroud96
Yeah, things were so promising and then Triple Threat happened…
Triple threat tried to make him out to be a buffoon, but what he did was ask twilight and starlight what he should do and they told him to keep ember and thorax apart. Spike didn’t get to be a friend to either thorax or ember, in fact he LOST BOTH FRIENDS BECAUSE OF WHAT TWILIGHT AND STARLIGHT TOLD HIM TO DO.
He never saw thorax or ember again other than passing “hello”. Smolder was included explicitly so that there could be a knock-off ember that spike could “learn dragon stuff” from, but who would also be mean to him, not out of misunderstanding but out of maliciousness.
And there was never a Thorax proxy for him. Thorax was someone Spike risked being branded a traitor to equestra to prove was innocent and who’s innocence and betrayal of Chrysalis was the ONLY thing to stop a full villain victory. Outside of that, Thorax was a sweetheart who had problems with assertiveness. He was the inverse of what Spike normally has to deal with, someone who is TOO kind, who is TOO meek, yet also looks up to him.
@Siarnaq (Model P)
In season 6 things were kind of starting up for him with his episode with Thorax and one with Ember.
Until To Where And Back Again happened and he got robbed big time..
@Ihhh
Debunked by whom and does it really negate the argument they’re making? If the points they’re making has actual validations then it doesn’t negate the argument regardless of the jabs they’re making towards the writers. And unlike some of you, they’re actually making a valid point.
@Daneasaur
EVERYONE’S gonna be the hero of the finale in some way another! Even BG ponies!
But you don’t wanna believe in Spike? You don’t hafta. I ain’t forcin’ anyone too. He’s got me, and a few other loyal fans, it’s just the motivation he’ll need cause he don’t ask for much! No problemo! ;)
@Background Pony #187E
The problem is that the episodes concerning him have been written to make up random “facts” on the spot or otherwise completely contradict things that have happened in the past.
The heroes will be Tirek, Cozy Glow, and Chrysalis because they will betray Grogar at just the right time for their own personal gain.
If I’m wrong, cool, but Spike has nothing to offer in the context of where the series is ending.
@Background Pony #8C2A
Garble has plenty of bite and a user kindly nestled a group of his intentions together. Keep in mind, he’s also the strongest of the “young” dragons, so he doesn’t take guff from anyone without him beating them into submission, so says dragon rule.
I said it before, they had plenty of opportunity earlier to show there was more to him. Gauntlet of fire had Spike perform acts of kindness to him and both Spike AND Ember showed the quality and power of friendship. He not only ignored it and didn’t get it, he fought against it.
Next is Shadow play. Is he any softer? Is he any nicer? Is he anymore willing to follow rules? Nope. He’s as malicious as ever with no reason to be.
So no, there is nothing in any of Garble’s actions in any previous episode that says “I wonder if he actually is hiding something.” He’s one of the few characters who is built specifically to be unlikable.
@Ryodraco
Dude,Garble is all bark and no bite.Rabid Spike justice warriors are trying to rewrite the show history to make him “worse than Hitler and Sombra” when all he did was thumping his chest and scream about how a bad dued he is because people around here stubbornly REFUSE to see the big FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC subtitle on the name od the series,i’ll repeat that sentence until my death:if you wanted tales of betrayal and backstabbing and no redemption,go watch fucking Games of Thrones rerun
@Background Pony #D1BF
Woe is you.Do you want an handkerchief ? Seriously,with “”“fans”””” like this,who need haters.Also the problem is not “uuuh it always was mediocre” it’s that the “””“fans”””” never let this show be a simple cartoon,were never happy or content with what they already have and always asked for more,always asked this show to be fucking Games of Thrones instead of anime CareBears
Hopefully.
Also hoping the season 10 comics don’t botch up Luna and Celestia over.
There’s still the season 10 comics! Maybe a surprising Spike chapter book in the future?
Part of me wished they got to interact honestly.

Ocellus could have been a stand-in for Thorax if they wanted Smolder be a stand-in for Ember.
But nope, not even that.

But no, he never meets him again.
Yay friendship…

You were to explain to lightninglazer, not to me. Ironic you couldn’t figure that out.
No one needs to explain to you, you never listen.
Of course they won’t explain, they are a background pony.
Care to explain?
No, he does not.
This guy gets it!!

Except your “poor writing” has been debunked numerous times, and you refuse to listen to anyone who disagrees with you.
And here we have a typical background pony accusing the fact that I’m pointing out poor writing with “You just hate spike”.

SAYS WHO?
We got episodes 19-26 that haven’t been reveled yet! He could be the big hero of the finale for all know! None of you believe that, but just you wait!

Not sure. I keep looking away when it shows the episode title for some reason.
Writers can improve.
