The headcanon was that Scootaloo had been anonymously been dropped off at an adoption agency when she was an infant, and 19-year old Berry Punch adopted her. Now to avoid causing Scootaloo grief over knowing she had been adopted, Berry never told her, but while going through legal documents one day, Scootaloo came across her adoption form and ended up finding out anyways, leading to the scene depicted in the image. What happened after the image, was basically Scootaloo leaving for a few days out of spite, before finally returning.
Of course, Last Crusade came along and crushed this, which forced me to re-work and throw out some episode/story ideas I had. That was irritating.
Worst part I think is that as of right now (which mind you, is prior to watching the episode), I still prefer my old headcanon to what was actually presented.
Now I’m wondering if I should completely disregard what was presented in the episode and just continue with my headcanon. XD
I wasn’t being sarcastic. Pretty much every version where Scootaloo ends up being the daughter of one of the characters is much more interesting then what we got.
Especially the retcon that Scootaloo’s parents have been meeting her offscreen all this time (“once a month”). It should have been a reunion with Scootaloo’s long lost parents if they insisted on original characters.
Edited
Assuming you’re not being sarcastic, there was actually an additional part of the headcanon. That being that her biological mother was Rainbow Dash, who had taken her back in time in order to save her from having to grow up during years of severe turmoil for Equestria.
I prefer it too, as well as most variations of Scootaloo secretly being the daughter of an established character.
