Decided to craft a replica of a steampunk Brighteyes g1-g3 commission I did 7 years ago. Wanted to have the same general vibe, but wanted to do a lot of things differently while holding onto a few key elements as the original. Also have been getting commission requests again for highly detailed older gen customs, so felt like this was a good time to make available this concept for sale again.
Pony base is a generation 3 pony, body coated in white gesso to give the acrylic paint work a texture to bond to. Added generation 4 princess pony wings to the head. Full body repaint job in cadet blue acrylics, her eyeshadow painted in my own personal style with clock face numerals added to the design. All paint sealed in Artists Varnish. Magenta plastic craft gems from Michaels, added for the Twinkle eyes.
Mane and tail rooted in nylon mlp dollyhair in the colors white chocolate, lemonade, passionfruit, firebird and cherry pie/pomme d’ ammor. Mane and tail are both curled and permanently styled/hardened in hair gel method.
Now for the crazy detail diabetes that my mind vomited all over this pony- White tattered leather used for the skirt train, with neon peach scarf material underneath. More strips of leather, ribbons and lace used all over the pony, hand stitched layers, with beads strung on floral wire. 3-D clock cutiemark is a giant red sequin with a smaller circle sequin with a clock face painted on it and sealed in mod podge. Added some pale pink and black feathers to the hair to give it flair, added black rhinestones throughout the face to finish.
Feels great to just cut loose with details like this now and then.
Oh. Thanks for the reportable comment.
