That's kind of unjustifiably harsh, considering the fact that she was technically looking for corrupted magic to stop it... _*and was 100% RIGHT that magic was the cause._

Hell, keep in mind that if she hadn't gone off, Sunset and Twilight wouldn't have found her, discovered the portal, and realized whose magic was causing the entire storm, and as a result said storm would have destroyed the boat and everyone on it.


 
Yeah RD was impulsive, but her heart was in the right place and her paranoia ended up saving everyone.
