Here is the policy we use when there are credible accusations of tracing.
 
In this case, this work might be considered transformative, because it is in an entirely different medium. And so the artist who made this would have a unique copyright to the work. However, we also tag the image with the original artist’s tag (as their copyright is retained on all derivative works) and tag it as an “edit” and either as a “reference” or as a “trace”.
 
We are currently working our process, and if anyone has any additional information it would be helpful if they could either PM the information or add it to a report of this image.
 
RESOLUTION: This was created by “artist:lyeeeer”, tracing artist:hinoraito’s work. This work appears to be transformative enough through being expressed in a different medium that it stands as a separate copyright, albeit derivative, like someone inking a pencil drawing, or coloring an image. However, since it was traced and not just referenced, we added the “trace” tag and the “edit” tag.

I can’t decide if it’s a really carefully copied version of >>215657 or a convincing fake. I’m leaning towards the latter, but either way it’s kinda amusing.
