That’s okay, Silverstream! I do the same thing whenever I had to finish big assignments in university. I sometimes stay in the school for many hours (sometimes into the night) to complete reports, assays and lab books and never call my parents, because I didn’t want them bothering me until I was absolutely sure I was finished with my homework…
 
I don’t think your parents would mind you continuing with your studies abroad, but you SHOULD at least INFORM your family that you were gonna plan on staying overnight BEFOREHAND!
 
I know how your parents would react when she scolds you for overstaying without their knowledge, just like how my mom scolded me for staying in the school past 10pm…
