For the one who did not understand the reference, in the movie when you defeat him all the absorbed souls were liberated from him.

Initially, when the star fragments were reunited, Cosmos regained her bodily form, then fused with her possessed victims to become even stronger. Once her star fragments were destroyed, her powers were destroyed as well, reducing her back to her original form before she fused with her possessed victims.

I’m guessing Discord had something to do with that to personally make sure she doesn’t come back by confining her to a powerless body.

How the Hell does she have a body again if she needed them before to HAVE a body and her power is now bye bye… shouldn’t she just go poof?

Once Cosmos lost her main fusion power in the ponies she possessed and fused with, she was pretty much helpless. Easy prey for Discord to finally deliver justice on.
 
Just look at the faces on the Princesses, Zecora, and Big Mac as they are released from Cosmos and returned to their own individual selves and bodies instead of being used as extensions of Cosmos’ will. Looks like a mixture of fear, confusion, and anger over what Cosmos put them through.
 
If Discord had not dealt with her first, Cosmos probably would have been tortured beyond belief by four very irate Princesses over using them for her own intentions. Then there’s Big Mac with his strength and Zecora with her knowledge on potions and herbs, maybe alchemy, who would of thought of several good poisons to use on Cosmos.

If Cosmos made her new body up from their forms, why didn’t she just vanish when they returned?
 
And did anyone else wonder if we’d get the old ‘everyone had their minds scrambled, so now they’re all in the wrong bodies’ bit?
