All they needed a name drop or maybe a background appearance, or heck use some actual background characters that appeared beforehand. This could have happened in previous episodes, taking like a grand total of five seconds of the plot and thing would have been fine. But no, we get ALL of it in the same episode. Terrible planning plain and simple.
