Wow, I had no idea “funny” translates to “dumb and out of character”. I guess the dictionaries and thesauruses had taught me wrong all along….
Non-Compete Clause is one of the greatest and most funny episodes of all time. The hatred of it is completely wrong and everyone who’s still complaining about it needs to learn what good writing is because they clearly do not understand how great it was.
@Vaidelot
I don’t think it insults any of the Mane Six’s superiority. I’m not sure if the book showed much, but it looks like everyone knows what to do.

Well, judging by the influx of screens, the book is out now, so we probably could just ask those, who has it already, whether it insults Dash’s superiority in any way…
@Joshua
Exactly. Kim was back then learning how to write good episodes. True. Her first episode was bad but. Looking at winter shorts she started getting better and better. Plus. She writted ,,Ail-icorn” and ,,Sweet and smoky”. Wich was good episodes. And seeing the book. It seems like Kim really worked hard to make this one pretty good special.
I wanna give this the benefit of the doubt, as the shorts she made were pretty fun and Sweet And Smokey was mostly fine barring a really unearned redemption for Garble, but this is kind of a big red flag
The writer doesn’t worry you?
It’s not. I laughed out loud at how much they were competing and stuff.
It was funny.

I’m not. It was fucking hilarious!!!
Please tell me you’re trolling us.

You might be right. From the “screencaps” I’ve seen, it doesn’t look like RD’s gonna be the stupid one.
@Background Pony #C3F6
Dude. We cannot be that negative to that writter
I don’t think we saw any bits of RD being competitive or a showoff in the book.
