I get the meaning but it doesn’t fit the conservative edge.It just seems a little odd together
Because this Pegasus seems to celebrate “straight pride”, we should let her and her boyfriend enjoy an old-fashioned date, a la Cinderella.
After all, it is also full of traditions that make their romance look more “elegant”.

I get the part between the brackets but what is that before it?
At least this Pegasus in this pic would have a chance to have a classical romance with her beau, complete with ballroom dancing, champagne, and moonlight sonatas.
(Every time I see “straight pride”, I think about conservatives, since most of its supporters may tend to have conservative/religious views in opposition to gay parades and the like. At least it would also make a good Valentine’s Day date.)
