Fluttershy was sitting in her cottage, resting after a long day work. The small residence was devoid of any sound, everything was simply quite and at peace. Flutershy was about to fall asleep.
 
Suddenly a small and barely audible noise could be heard. The soft patter of tiny paws and the scratching of claws could be heard, and judging by their increasing volume, the creature was coming closer and closer.
 
And there he was, by the door, her son, Lisianthus was coming. Fluttershy could tell by the little spring in his step, and his smiling face, that the draconequus cub was excited about something.
 
“Mommy! Mommy!” He yelled with his squeaky voice “ Dad showed a bunch of really cool animals that can’t be found in the everfree forest! Can you believe that?”
 
Fluttershy chuckled at her little son’s enthusiasm. Much like her, Lisianthus loved animals, and getting to see some that didn’t live in the nearby forests or that he hasn’t seen before always made him joyous beyond imagination. He usually pestered Discord to take him to them, much to his fathers chagrin who would rather do something more chaotic but in the end, Discord always gives up to his offspring’s pleading eyes.
 
“So what did daddy show you today sweetheart” she asked genuinely curious about the duo’s latest shenanigans  
“ oh he showed a lot of predatory felines, like tigers and leopards, but my favorite at of all of them was the lions.” He said with full of happiness, his eyes sparkling with wonder.
 
“Oh, and why is that if I may ask?”  
“ They are, like, so cool!!! They have sharp claws and teeth, and did you know that a male’s roar can be heard from miles away! It also serves as a way to warn other rogues, isn’t that amazing?! But what I like most about them is that they have big, fluffy manes!!” After all of that, the cub gasped for breath, almost like the wind got knocked out of him.
 
Fluttershy simply giggled, and was about to talk when suddenly Lisianthus raised his head with wide eyes and said…  
“ Mom I want to be a lion when I grow up!! I want to have a big, flowing, fluffy mane and be the most ferocious lion that ever lived!”
 
Fluttershy, was startled, seemingly not expecting the cub’s excited outburst.  
“ Honey, I am afraid that you can not be a lion when you grow up, you are a draconequus. I am sure, though that you father could teach you a transformation spell, but other than that i don’t think that you can turn into a lion.”
 
“ But what if I try hard enough”

She looked at the draconequus in front of her with an amused expression in her face  
“ you just couldn’t let it go huh?”
 
He looked at her, surprised for a second before grinning widely and looking off in the distance.  
“Nope”
