That would make sense. It’s amazing how technology has evolved since then.
There were exceedingly few not-terrible animations out there at the time. This one was moderately smoothed, well shaded and was goofy enough to catch on.
Remember, this was the time when The Macarena was a big deal; people were kind of dumb.
