Description
Auction ends 24 hours after the last bid. Winner will receive the character, the artwork above, and a link to download several versions and draft iterations of the image (lines, flats, shading, transparent, etc.).
Starting bid: $50 (cost of the artwork)
Minimum increment: $5
Autobuy: $75
How to bid:
*I’ll start a comment chain below. Reply to the current highest bid; bids placed elsewhere will be ignored + hidden to avoid confusion.
*Do not bid if you cannot pay within three days after the auction ends. If you cannot afford the design, it will go to the second highest bidder.
*Paypal only. I will send an invoice.
Rules:

(2) If you reuse this specific artwork (including the versions provided to the winner), my signature must be left intact.
Aside from retaining the rights to use the artwork in my own galleries/portfolios, I’m not all that concerned with what you choose to do with the character after it leaves my hands. You can change their name, their story… whatever.
Kind of a repost? I wasn’t really satisfied with the way these came out when I originally posted them, but my laptop died before I could go back in and polish them up. It all works out though, since these are good test pieces for my new setup, which is actually more problematic and squished than I want it to be…
I’ve mostly been of the opinion that changelings, as drones, are more or less genderless and by their very nature are unable to differ much from the rest of the hive, especially from a physical angle. I thought it might be an interesting challenge to play with variety in a design with lots of limiters. Dufour is mostly indistinguishable from her fellow drones, as equally devoted to the hive as all the rest, but her vast knowledge of semantics– her primary contribution to their cause– is ironically what stirs her forbidden curiosity of life outside of it. Her high ranking affords her some time to dwell on this, but until the hive is liberated her duties drown out any opportunities to pursue them any further.
