As a player, there is literally nothing worse. Having a great plan, stepping up to the plate… and whizzing it right down your leg.

DM: You prepared a speech?
Twilight Sparkle: Well, I went over it in my head. It should be pretty solid.
DM: Alright. The dragon stirs a little bit… and then his eyes quickly open, glaring directly at Twilight.
Twilight Sparkle: Um… <roll> 27 on Insight?
DM: The dragon is clearly grumpy at having his nap disturbed, but not hostile. He seems to be assuming you’re here for a reason.
Twilight Sparkle: Okay, yes, good! I say… Um… I say… I, uh… Oh crap.
