Definitely agree. If anything, the fact that they had to “slip the lesbian marriage in” by means of making it off-screen and referencing it, is probably the only way they could even get it into the show because of all the so-called “moral guardians”.

I just would like to point that there have been four on-screen weddings in the show: Cadance and Shining, Cranky and Matilda, Pear and Bright Mac and Big Mac and Sugar. All these couples are straight.
 
The wedding of the gay couple, on the other hand, happened complete off-screen. If you didn’t pay attention you probably don’t even know that they’ve became a couple.
 
So people acting like this is somehow an attack at straight people, are mayyyyybe overreacting a little bit.

And that is why we have alternative facts. When you can just change something to make it ‘correct’ for certain demographics it segregates the world even more, making people disagree on even important things (although this would be more of an example rather than something very important).
