Well, of course you wish there was a scene of Queen Novo changing the Mane Six and Spike back to normal while falsely banished them, the movie possibly would, have had an argument between Queen Novo and Princess Skystar in similar fashion to Ariel and King Trition or Simba and Kiara. But there wasn’t. Even though there was one in the beginning of the third act of the film.

Well, a deleted and not fully animated footage shows the Mane Six being trapped in a bubble that we see in the “Journey Beyond Equestria” documentary possibly either being banished out of Seaquestria into the surface before it pops or being sent to jail by Queen Novo. Maybe Queen Novo banished them by turning them back to normal, trapped them in a bubble, and sent them away from Seaquestria before it pops or when Queen Novo turns the Mane Six back to normal and the guards banished them into the surface. Unfortunately, Twilight was the one responsible for not listening to Queen Novo because she was just trying to steal the pearl without being unnoticed by either Queen Novo, Princess Skystar, the Mane Five and Spike, or the sea pony/hippogriff guards. And of course. When Pinkie accuses to Twilight, “You didn’t really want us to show her the best time ever! You just wanted us to distract her!”, that can’t be true. Because Twilight didn’t mean to let her friends distract the Queen and possibly Skystar. She did let her friends show Skystar the best time ever while trying to steal the pearl. She was just trying to help Novo and Skystar. But after lashing out at her friends (including Pinkie) that she’d be better off without them, she realizes that what a jerk she had been after her heartbreaking remark towards her friends because she messed up and made a mistake breaking the Queen’s laws about not stealing the pearl. Why? Because she should have listen to Queen Novo about not stealing the pearl. I would agree that when Princess Skystar went off to help the Mane Six, Capper, and Captain Celaeno and her crew save Equestria from the Storm King’s tyranny over Equestria, I would agree that Queen Novo would regret about banishing the Mane Six out of Equestria because she was a jerk too. Why? Because she along with Skystar, Capper, and Celaeno was the only hope Equestria needs.

Could you imagine if there was actually a scene in the movie of the Mane 6 reverting to their pony forms while deep underwater and struggling to breathe as they head up to the surface, all the while Princess Skystar watches them in shock and horror.
 
A bit dark for an animated kids flick based on a TV series, sure, but it would also be pretty bold.

Yeah, I wish the show didn’t so there could be that transforming back scene, which I would’ve love to see happen in the movie.

Tho ig shouldn’t be surprised since this franchise seems to have a phobia of underwater content.

TBF, that was YOUR fault. You betrayed Celestia’s trust in you by shrugging off her student. And this isn’t exactly a good PR stunt for leaving a land to die. Coward.

I really wished the movie showed the Mane 6 turning back to ponies and trying to escape to the surface, like Ariel in The Little Mermaid.
