She overpowers through both of them a second after this shot.
He also used it against the Storm King’s army.
Based on what? What evidence do we have that dragonfire isn’t potent enough for this when used with that intention?
If people want to get technical about it, melting a huge chunk of ice or even wrought iron in a couple of seconds isn’t exactly something normal fire can do. The more the show went on, the more it showed Spike’s fire wasn’t as weak as people thought, when he actually puts his mind into it. What with later still using it to instantly beat a giant creature many times his size.
@bob
He used it against the Roc when he first got his wings.
It immediately made it run away when even Twilight’s beams weren’t doing much.
Edited
Spike’s fire burning ice isn’t the same as over-pushing a magic beam.
Well Spike did demonstrate he could easily melt a huge chunk of ice that was threatening to crush the Crystal Empire during the Equestria Games, when one of the contestants managed to freeze a cloud solid with a misfired ice arrow. To say nothing of generating enough heat to melt a solid iron padlock in a matter of seconds.
Only at that first part. They’re supposed to be extremely powerful, and yet a mediocre magic user (rarity) and small dragon who’s never really used his fire as an offensive weapon before (Spike) are somehow able to defeat a hundreds, if not thousands of years old magic-user who’s VERY powerful to begin with, but then supercharged with Grogar’s bell… yeah. Two creatures shouldn’t have been enough to overpower her.
Oh shut up already, you’re just mad that Chrysie got her ass whopped so easily while Cozy Glow possed more of a threat to everyone than her. 😝
I agree. She was even boosted up by the bell…
Her ass can easily be kicked at this point.
Because it makes things exciting.
It was obvious she had more power.

A baby dragon and fashionista against a world-conquering villain at the height of her power. Yeah.
@Background Pony #8202 Unfortunately, it seems.
Because it’s two against one, obviously.
Celestia knows that feeling. >.>
Another moment where we just have to turn our brains off. lol
