Okay so, in the final season of Sailor Moon, there was a trio of warriors known as the Starlights. They disguised themselves as pop idols but when it came time to fight the bad guys, they transformed into the Starlights - Sailor Star Fighter, Sailor Star Maker and Sailor Star Healer. They hoped that, through their music, their voices would reach their home planet’s princess, who was lost to them after a fierce battle that sent them to Earth for refuge. Speaking of music, they had a badass theme song whenever they transformed.

And of course, we all know My Little Pony has its own “Starlight”, too. Given Glim-Glam’s abilities, I wanted to give her a time-themed attack. I wasn’t sure what to call it, so I consulted with my good friend Norm and he came up with Star Glimmer Pendulum, which sounds epic and awesome as hell! Along with the background, I created the attack magic stuff myself, referencing screenshots and videos of the Gale ability’s animation from the video game Shadow Hearts Covenant (best game of all time, next to its predecessor Shadow Hearts). It was challenging, yet fun
