Waifu Hoarder
The story is a terrible They Live ripoff, plus the dialogue is basically the kind of garbage you hear preteens spouting on Xbox Live. Combined with the new Dante being a self-insert of the director, and you get what feels like a poorly-written They Live fanfic.

How about the fact that they screwed up the backstory, had redundant gameplay, and the writing was so terrible it literally made me gag. I haven’t even played it yet but I checked out some scenes from it and some gameplay and I am not at all interested.
 
And yeah, the way he looks does matter to me.

the plot is also”they live” but with demons and vergil kills a pregnant women first by shooting her in the womb then the head. A while later dante rubs it in to her husband saying how cool it was seeing it.

I love his interviews where he acts like a badass by when asked about “a lot of people say donte looks like you and he is pretty unlikable and not cool at all but emo douche” he takes a cig out and smokin it and respond “I dont care” NOW THAT’S SO EDGY COOL.

Does he normally look like that? If so, I can now see a reasonable argument against the Dante redesign.

You know if you can’t come up with a better argument on why DmC is bad other than the character’s face you aren’t worth my time.
