There’s still a difference between being “inspired/inflenced” by something, and flat out stealing something. Suri still stole Rarity’s stuff, there’s no real justifying it. Not to mention, she did other douchey passive aggressive things in the ep’ too, so she’s honestly not an innocent person/pony.
 
Though, I do agree she could redeemable, but with the show ending, that’s now just up to fanfics. But as I said, we can’t really expect every character to be reformed.
 
I disagree about Fluttershy, the show has shown she has just as many flaws/issues as other characters, and isn’t always perfect, nor always in the right. Like “Putting Your Hoof Down” for example, and she shouldn’t of stolen Celestia’s pet, (even with good intentions) and such.  
And there’s episodes that arguably favor other Mane 6’ers or portray them as “best pony” in each one, as well.

Look, Its one thing to steal someone’s works/ideas to the point its a clear imitation. Its another thing to take someone’s creation and tweak it enough to become its own thing, Despite where it comes from. Everything in life is not a College Essay.(In fact, I’d even say that most of the things you love has come from something else and you haven’t even noticed because they stood out more than the Original. )
 
Now, I’m not saying that what Suri did in the episode itself is easily forgivable (She clearly used Rarity’s Unique fabric for her entry and pushed Coco/Miss Pommel to make them to the point of it being slavery. ) But I still believe that she could be redeemed because she was doing all of this for a Competition. Feeling Envious over somebody else (Which is the Relatable Trait, I was referring to. ) can often lead to someone doing a deed they’ll most likely regret in the future and in Suri ‘s Case that might be true. We have yet to see her make Dresses without being a Contestant. Who knows? She might actually be a Hardworking Mare who strives to come up with Original clothing. (Rarity met Suri prior to the Competition, So it has to be true. )
 
Also, I don’t like Discord because I don’t like Fluttershy either and He’s basically a Cheerleader for her and everything she does. I still like Fluttershy as a Character, but the fact that the show has to shoehorn in how she’s the Best of the Mane Six makes me grow to hate her. (Check Best Gift Ever, Non-Compete Clause, and Daring Doubt for proof. )

Not a Discord fan, I take it? (Guess ‘cause he’s not a cute female pony.)  
We can’t expect every character to be reformed, and just ‘cause a character isn’t, doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy them. You can still enjoy her. I still enjoy some villains, and such, even though I don’t like what they do.
 
It’s… a li’l concerning you’re actually defending plagiarism kinda, and state it’s a “relatable trait,” something you assume everyone does.  
Can’t say I have honestly, nor do I find it “relatable.” In fact, that’s actually a crime. It’s not a likeable thing.

Its funny that this show would allow a Annoying Draconequus that can cause literal chaos through the snap of his fingers to be reformed (Because of Simply Fluttershy Favoritism ) but a Regular Earth Pony who thinks too highly of themselves and steals another Pony’s Design ONCE. (A Boo Boo in comparison to any scams the Flim Flam Bros. make throughout the series, Not to mention a relatable trait, People tend to do from time to time. ) and she’s the one that’s doomed to never be reformed. Well, Even if the show ‘s over. I hope the IDW Comic’s Staff have a way to redeem her in the future. It may not be Canon, but its enough for me to get some closure on this Underrated Character.

Sure she’s cute, but I guess not many like her ‘cause she was a total biotch/plagiarist, (and to top it off tried to get Rarity disqualified from the trophy by not telling her about it, but luckily Coco intervened) and never got any comeuppance, so she got away with everything, as well.
 
With the show ending, no reformation, closure, or comeuppance for her. So fans are probably not ganna like her much.  
Though, I suppose we have to accept life isn’t fair, and not everyone can be reformed, or get what they deserve.
