Why are you so sure you know so much about who I am? Is it SO foreign to you that somebody from a marginalized community could maybe have opinions you don’t want them to have? Stop talking for all of us like some kind of expert, you are clueless.
 
I never said I didn’t care about politics. I’m saying there’s a time and a place, and that time and place is not everything, ever.
 
So far you’ve insulted me, insinuated I was a bigot, made sweeping assumptions about my life, history, and personality, AND totally ignored what I was actually saying in the first place.
 
It’s utterly amazing to me how many “experts” there are on my life based on one internet post or conversation. Most of you people were not even alive, or were just toddlers, when I was part of and fighting for LGBT rights as a teen, and getting my ass beat in real life over it, you know, ACTUAL, physical oppression. Do not, I repeat, do not EVER act like you know better than I do. Like I’m some kind of middle class shut in with all the money and freedom. If I had a dime for every time somebody made that assumption of me, I would be as privileged as accused.

i don’t mean to accuse you of being transphobic at all, i know where you stand on this issue and i respect that. the point i was trying to make is that “politics” is an intrinsic part of life that affects EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY those belonging to marginalized communities.
 
“trans rights” should not be seen as a “political” statement, it should be seen as a basic and agreeable message in the vein of “you should be kind to others” and “sharing is caring” - i.e. the messages promoted by this very show. saying stuff like “i don’t care about politics, i just want ponies” is a tacit acknowledgement that you have the option to ignore pertinent social issues like this in the first place, which is a privilege that does NOT extend to members of marginalized and oppressed communities. to them, every day is “politics” because every day they face the systemic oppression CAUSED by politics. if seeing people speak out against said systemic inequality is bringing you out of your comfort zone, that’s unfortunate, but bear in mind most trans people don’t really have a “comfort zone” to retreat to, hence the creation of lgbtq+ friendly spaces. if you ask me this fandom should absolutely be inclusive and accepting of trans people and their struggles and the subject of trans rights should NOT be a controversial or iconoclastic statement at all - after all, the idea of equal rights is absolutely one of the core tenets of the show we’re all fans of.

Politics are dumb but important, unfortunately
 
(Especially since some lives are inharently political to the simpleton) which is something marginalized communities can’t really help.

You’re getting rather hostile there, bud. Even if you believe it’s politics, it really shouldn’t be. Basic human rights and treating other human beings decently should be “politics” and this is coming from someone who doesn’t like talking about politics.

I will support anyone who believes in the sovereignty of the individual, LGBTQ or other  
I Dont like entertainment used to spread propaganda of anything, there are other forums for that.  
I dont like being told what i can or cannot say, or think.  
I dont understand the attitude of some LGBTQ individuals who act like the world ows them something.  
The world is a rough place and society is how we cope, when you attack that you threaten everyone. stop trying to destroy what we have and just build something new.
