Well… there’s one thing for this situation, for something out of the blue.

Chrysalis is an idiot
“Then you’ll never forget our time together.”
Unlike some people, I won’t just blindly defend her.
Her character’s pretty badly mishandled.
I love her for Friendship Games and I’ve held onto that love.
It’s just my personal opinion Chrysalis is overrated, but if people like her, that’s perfectly fine.
I just find her overrated.
Not even saying she’s a bad villain.
She was one of the best villains, but I still find her overrated.

No u, Sunset.
right
Wrong.
AHEM
Chrysalis is overrated.
That is all.
(Naturally, considering OP is veritably a Chrysalis fanboy.
I’m betting they’re not gonna point out her… questionable thinking on multiple occasions [allowing a course of events where there was more than zero warning there’d be an attack, letting Windigos run amok, mocking someone’s concerns in declaring Twilight is a threat as long as she’s still out there]
…or they’d be considered brilliant moves maybe, for some reason. Take your guess)

Yeah, to be honest, I think it’s great that she’s the kind of villain you can just have be unrestrained by any morals whatsoever. Villains don’t always need to be sympathetic, have redeeming qualities morally.
It’s just so easy to imagine her doing some victory gloating to a few recaptured foes after their distraction was subdued, how they’d live a long time…
which of course, probably wouldn’t feel as great when two of the three you’d made sure to promise would have special attention are standing in front of you, powerful as can beOne can only imagine just how horrible she could be with a PG-13 rating, as opposed to a TV-Y rating, with which she got a lot done.
This is why Chrysalis is best villain. 😏
For that matter, I don’t think it was a coincidence Celestia and Luna were shown to be in the same cell as Starlight after the recapture, right before Twilight freed them, by the by.
