@Cyborg_pony
Yeah and wouldn’t season 10 just actually be the stuff that happens between Twilight’s final coronation and the future(though I guess it would be the present now, wouldn’t it?)
@Minus
I mean, yeah. Look at Transformers G1, the original show ended in 1987 but several Japan-exclusive Anime sequels were produced and then there’s Beast Wars and it’s sequel Beast Machines. Many companies like Dreamwave, Devil’s Die and most of all, IDW produced tons of G1-based comics. Not to mention all the numerous G1-based toylines and new cartoons from over the years. G1 became the largest of all the Transformers continuities and forms the backbone of the entire franchise that continues to influence all new versions of Transformers from the past, to today and the future. The same is with the Universal Century of the Gundam franchise and the DC Animated Universe which to this day is the most popular version of animated DC characters. MLP is no different. Just because the show is over, doesn’t mean it all over.
It does shock me how many people did give up watching the show. But I only tend to find out when someone binges them and starts saying how awesome it was. Or they say “What’s a changedling?”
Even the ones who stopped are likely to eventually catch up. Should be easier than ever now. But despite that everyone seems to be a fan all the same. The fact I can so rarely tell really shows that the show’s not the most important thing to know. It really is the community that counts. This fandom is amazing that it has already been running without a pilot at the wheel for so long. We dont need any more track either. This ride really isn’t stopping, because, we are the ride.
Agreed. The idea that most people here weren’t watching it is laughable considering how the fanart continued to feature newer and newer concepts introduced in the show.
I’ve been on this crazy rollercoaster for a little over 8 years now. Started watching in 2011 when I was told I’d probably enjoy the two part premier for Season 2, then joined the site once I found it in 2012. Been screaming my head off ever since (I’m afraid of heights IRL, so rollercoasters don’t agree with me xD).
What a bizarre time we have.
BREAKDOWN BREAKDOWN

So I guess the red rails will branch onto the black rails?

But there’s another one under construction. It’s right over there. Should be ready in a a year or two. :)
It is based on the “pointing” scene right from Great Days.
GREAT DAYS~!
