Can’t say that I have. Most debilitating status ailment I ever saw was poison in Jade Cocoon. Not only does it lower all your stats, not only is a poison attack guaranteed to inflict it unless you’re outright immune, but it also drains 1/8th of your max health per turn, so like 100 HP damage per turn if you have a max of 800. Only good thing is it’s that debilitating to the enemies as well, even bosses, save for one who’s immune to poison, and you can get a sword that guaranteed inflicts it :D

I’ve always found the charm status to be the most bullshit status ailment in any game D:
@OneSpooky
Ironically these ones are bigger threats XD

It’s definitely the eyes. I think that’s the point too, I think the stronger more dangerous ones are meant to look friendlier since the monster’s whole thing in the game is being sexy and luring in travelers. Even their ability to look cute and sexy is stronger :D
The vampire variant somehow looks friendlier, despite having menacing colors. The opposite of the other one, which looks more menacing despite having friendly colors.

Dragon Quest probably does have some peculiar status ailments, but have you ever played Miitopia?
(Muffled chatter) XD

I think it might be the eyes. They don’t really look demonic.
I dunno, the charm status can be pretty dangerous.
Not many, but they’re usually the fun ones.
